retreats & camps
About Our Retreats
While clinic-based one-to-one therapy has its merits, there is something incredibly powerful about intensive therapy-based retreats. That’s why The Play Projects facilitates multi-day programs in Yarrawonga and our purpose-designed retreat centre at Harrietville.
Focusing on a range of different outcomes, our 3-4 day retreats provide a play-based approach to therapy. Spending time in nature, socialising with others and leaping out of their comfort zones, the progress children make in just a few days is worth weeks of one-to-one therapy.
Perfect for children with a wide range of neurodiversities, our therapist-led retreats build confidence, boost creativity and improve overall mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Our Self-guided Farm Retreats provide an opportunity for family bonding and skill development in a beautiful and relaxing setting.
These self-led experiences allow you to pick from a range of experiences to maximize the benefits you and your family receive from your stay. Our self-guided packages come with OT-developed itineraries and OT at Home Programs for you to use at The Farm (and take home with you to continue the experience after).
Skill Building For Life
The skills learned on our multi-day retreats empower children to believe in themselves and move through the world with more confidence and emotional regulation. Through a diverse range of play-based therapeutic activities, children and young adults leave our retreats having pushed themselves beyond their wildest dreams; giving them a new outlook on life in the real world.
Participants are encouraged to factor retreats into their therapeutic schedule at least 4 times per year to fully reap the benefits on a long-term basis.
