About Our Retreats
While clinic-based one-to-one therapy has its merits, there is something incredibly powerful about intensive therapy-based retreats. That’s why The Play Projects facilitates multi-day programs in Yarrawonga and our purpose-designed retreat centre at Harrietville.
Focusing on a range of different outcomes, our 3-4 day retreats provide a play-based approach to therapy. Spending time in nature, socialising with others and leaping out of their comfort zones, the progress children make in just a few days is worth weeks of one-to-one therapy.
Perfect for children with a wide range of neurodiversities, our therapist-led retreats build confidence, boost creativity and improve overall mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Skill Building For Life
The skills learned on our multi-day retreats empower children to believe in themselves and move through the world with more confidence and emotional regulation. Through a diverse range of play-based therapeutic activities, children and young adults leave our retreats having pushed themselves beyond their wildest dreams; giving them a new outlook on life in the real world.
Participants are encouraged to factor retreats into their therapeutic schedule at least 4 times per year to fully reap the benefits on a long-term basis.
