The Therapy at Home Build it with Bricks Foundation Program with LEGO® Classic Box focuses on using the roles of engineer, supplier and builder to deliver therapy through play using LEGO®.

By incorporating these roles into the five LEGO® builds, children will have the opportunity to work through varying levels of skill development as they engage with the resources provided in the program.

There is a series of guided videos to demonstrate the language and communication skills required to give, receive and process instructions for each of the roles. In addition to this, there are extensive instructions and there are extensive instructions and reference cards to further support the delivery.

As confidence is developed, there is opportunity to gradually release the use of the scaffolded materials so that the roles can be executed more independently.

Throughout the program, there are opportunities to develop executive functioning skills as children plan and execute the different tasks required of the different roles.

To bring an element of play, there are resources provided in the toolbox for sensory and creative extension activities.

Ideal for anyone with an interest in LEGO®, this program is suitable for a wide range of ages, but will require varying levels of support depending on developmental abilities.

For other building programs, please see the Build it with Bricks Foundation Program with LEGO® Creative Party Box and nanoblock programs.
