Exciting opportunity to join this clinic in delivering exceptional therapy services to children with a range of disabilities and delays. The Play Project is a multidisciplinary private practice based out of Yarrawonga on the Murray River in North East Victoria. Job tasks and responsibilities
Your key role will be the provision therapy programs for children, under the supervision of a therapist. As an Allied Health Assistant at The Play Project Therapy Services, you will work with children with developmental delays, Autism, language delays, and sensory processing difficulties to assist in the provision of high-quality therapy services.
Your role will also include:
- Working closely with families and educators to improve child outcomes using family-centred, functional goals
- Collaborating with other professionals
- Keeping accurate records
- Participating in professional development and mentoring
- You will report to the Senior Occupational Therapist and be supported by our admin staff and experienced mentors.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Eligibility to work in Australia
A qualification that provides the skills to work as a therapy assistant (e.g. Certificate in Allied Health Assistance, Certificate IV in Disability Support) or be working towards a relevant qualification (e.g. studying Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Teaching)
Completed NDIS worker orientation module - certificate must be provided
Current Working with Childrens Check
National Police Check
Experience working with children and families
Ability to work as a member of a collaborative team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to build rapport with children and families
Driver's licence
Desired:
Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant
Experience working with children with disabilities and developmental delays
Experience working within an NDIS framework
Salary
$49,400 - $63,232 + super (Full Time Equivalent, based on experience).
